Hi, my name is Aron and this is my Life Traveling
My life is currently based in two parts of the world. Sweden where I’ve grown up, have my friends and family. The other part of my life is based in Rio de Janeiro where I spend most of my time. All my life I’ve been eager to travel and I’ve been going back and forth between a normal job and being out with my backpack in the world.
After all the travelling I found it almost impossible to stay in a normal life in Sweden so I decided to combine my normal life with my travelling and settle down in Rio de Janeiro. Now I spend my working hours in front of the computer working for a Swedish IT company just a few blocks away from Copacabana beach. After work I usually go down to the beach to play volley ball or do some excercise.
How I ended up in Rio de Janeiro
It was my second time in Rio de Janeiro and I already knew that it was the most beautiful city in the world. I was at the last stop of a 8 month trip through Latin America.I was visting a friend in the city for a few weeks before heading back to Sweden.
Not knowing that it would change my life I ended up spending a good part of these weeks with a girl that I met on the beach. She was crazy enough to come to Sweden for me and we travelled Europe together for 6 months.
So now I’m incredibly happy to be living with the most beautiful girl in the world in the most beautiful city in the world. So be careful going to Rio because you might get lucky and get stuck like I did.
My Favourite Backpacking Trips
Latin America 2022-2023 (9 months)
I was tired of life back in Sweden and quit my job to find myself again. I booked a single way ticket to Panama and without much of an Itinerary I went north heading towards Mexico. I traveled by myself and grew a lot as a person. After reaching mexico after 5 months, I was reluctant to go back to the Swedish winter. So I continued to Colombia and my final destination of Rio de Janerio.
Countries visited
Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.
South America 2019-2020 (5 months)
I took the chance to travel, taking a gap year from unisversity to travel South America for the first time. I was a bit nervous as I’d never been to South america before and my Spanish was not yet that useful. I traveled with my ex girlfriend and made our way through most of the continent before we got stopped by the Covid pandemic.
Countries visited
Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru.
Australia & South East Asia 2017 (8 months)
This was my first ever solo travel and it was both terrifying and very awarding. Going by myself for the first time was a massive challenge for me but now in hindsight I’m incredibly happy and proud that I did it. I spent six months in Australia on a working holiday and then ended the trip with one month in Bali and one in Thailand.
Countries visited
Austrailia, Indonesia and Thailand
